Press & Wesockes, LLP, a South Florida CPA firm, is a full-service accounting, tax planning, tax preparation and business advisory firm. Our team partners with you to identify the goals and objectives you have for your business and works with you to achieve those goals.

Steven R. Press, CPA, PFS, MSM-Taxation, Managing Partner

Steven R. Press holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Specialist from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has been assisting businesses and individuals for over 30 years to achieve financial success.

Steven earned a Bachelors Degree from Queens College in Flushing, New York and a Masters Degree in Taxation from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. He has also taken postgraduate courses in estate and financial planning at Nova Southeastern University. He has lectured to various groups on setting up small businesses and authored a book on taxation of sports franchises. He is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Management Training Course.

In addition to assisting his clients, Steven has always been involved in civic and religious activities to give something back to the community. He founded the Weston Florida Rotary Club in 1986 and served as Charter President. He has been involved in various charitable events with this organization as well as the Jaycees, Special Olympics and various religious and non-profit organizations. He is a member of the Planned Giving Council of Nova Southeastern University, the West Broward Estate Planning Council and the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the board of various Toastmasters Clubs and has been involved in the Alumni Mentoring Program at Florida International University.

Charles Wesockes, CPA, Senior Partner and Consultant

Charles F. Wesockes holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant for over 35 years. He has been assisting businesses and individuals since he began his career at Haskins & Sells, a Big 6 accounting firm. He also spent 17 years with a large "closely held" corporate group in South Florida as Director of Internal Auditing and Management Information Systems. His vast business experience includes being a principal in his own accounting practice as well. Charles earned a Bachelor degree from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Charles was also a member of the Hollywood Rotary Club and served as the Treasurer for many years.

 

Our Accounting and Support Team

Sara Kaplan earned a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Florida. Sara is our Quickbooks Consultant and has worked with small businesses in all aspects of their accounting needs for years. She is our “go-to” person for both payroll and corporate taxes.

Chad Wesockes earned a Bachelors degree with a double major in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University. Chad “grew up” in the accounting business. He did a short stint in the mutual fund industry and now specializes in individual taxation. Chad is our “go-to” person for computer applications and all things 1040.

“It has been very gratifying to help clients with the preparation of their personal tax returns. I enjoy the interaction with our clients and helping them save on their taxes.”


Ramona Sutton attended Mercer University. Ramona is our Administrative and Marketing Assistant. She has extensive experience in all forms of marketing as well as many years in the CPA business assisting clients. Her outgoing personality makes our clients feel comfortable and she can always be counted on for prompt, friendly service.

Carol Poloniecki is our Administrative and Staff Assistant. She has many years of experience in customer service for both CPA firms and medical offices. Carol performs countless administrative functions for the firm.
